WHO WE ARE 

The Tidewater Paralegal Association ("TPA") is a non-profit corporation organized in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Our membership consists of paralegals/legal assistants, legal professionals and educators in the Tidewater area.  TPA is affiliated with the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. ("NALA").  NALA provides continuing education, professional development and certification programs for the paralegal/legal assistant field. 

TPA is a member of the Virginia Alliance of Paralegal Associations ("VAPA").  Its purpose is to maintain a statewide communications network; to advance, foster and promote the profession; to monitor developments in the profession; and to provide a statewide voice for paralegals/legal assistants.
